Salary Information: The salary range is CAD $77,890.00 - 129,736.00 per annum (Information Technology
/Phase 3). The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Primary Purpose: To provide leadership, business analysis and functional expertise in the implementation of an enterprise HRIS system and associated organizational changes. Business process development, processes analysis, guidance and governance on process design, change management and implementation support will be key deliverables.
Nature of Work: Reporting to the to the HR Technology Transformation Project Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role on the implementation project as a Senior HRIS Analyst, acquiring in-depth knowledge of the use and design of the application and aid in process and policy design that comes with organizational change. The work is highly collaborative and involves working with and across business units as well as with leaders, functional and technical staff.
- Advise and counsel on a wide range of business and management issiues including organizational design, policy design and strategic workforce planning.
- Facilitate or lead business process improvements to streamline work processes, minimize product customizations, leverage existing functionality and improve operational efficiencies.
- Partner with the Directors of HR and business units to understand, document and help execute their short and long term HR Process and Technology needs.
- Development of a change management strategy to support organizational change related to project activities. Analyzing business processes with a focus on applying change management experience to facilitate a movement towards quality in service delivery.
- Apply analytics expertise to data to drive process redesign and quality improvements.
- Work with third party vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure that the system is configured to meet current business needs.
- Create and maintain documentation on current and future state processes including data, systems, technology infrastructure, roles and business processes.
- Create, maintain and deliver employee/manager/HR user training materials and sessions.
- Gather information from various stakeholders within HR and provide subject matter expertise relevant to higher education.
- Product configuration.
- Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of five years related experience, preferably in an academic setting. Knowledge of HR generalist concepts and/or best practice standards. Experience in articulating vision, developing stakeholder needs, facilitating dialogue. Experience with an enterprise HRIS system (such as Banner HR or Peoplesoft) and/or ATS/Onboarding (such as Cornerstone or Silkroad) is considered a strong asset. Experience with Canadian higher education and/or payroll is considered an asset.

The ability to manage competing demands, accept feedback and be adaptable in a constantly changing project environment. Ability to handle highly confidential information with sensitivity and utmost accuracy. Strong business acumen, to provide credible, professional and value-added services to stakeholders. Proactive and results oriented with ability to take initiative to analyze situations and problems to find viable, timely solutions. Efficiency in planning and organizing work, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines and working independently. An enthusiasm for new challenges and an ability to share that enthusiasm.
